Covid-19 relief work:

Human history is observing a very strange time fighting an invisible enemy; the novel COVID-19 corona virus. Initially observed in the Wuhan province of China, now fastly spreading around the world. The war against Covid-19 has also opened a battlefront elsewhere. Covid-19 and unprecedented lockdown has unsettled lives, halted the economy and pushed India Inc deeper into crisis even as pain on the employment front looks inevitable. These difficulties are only dwarfed by the hardships and devastation faced by millions of migrant workers and daily-wage labourers, with little economic buffer or welfare safety net. Government have stepped up efforts to not just contain the epidemic but also to ease the troubles being faced by citizens during the ongoing crisis. Since nation has a massive population of migrant labourers and workers who have lost their jobs due to the lockdown, the administration efforts need to be supported by NGOs & corporate too. Things become all the more severe for a country like India with a population of 1.3 billion, out of which millions of habitants reside in rural villages and urban slums.

Keeping in view of the above, SAVE have started distribution of ration kits, health & hygiene kits, cotton masks, disposal masks, sanitary pads, etc to Daily wage/migrant workers/Dwellers of JJ clusters who are in urgent need of food. In this noble work, BSES Yamuna, Tata Power, Tata Trading, TP-DDL have helped SAVE a lot.
